I had just walked into work at 36th and May when the explosives went off; rattled the windows, the floor. We had thought that there had been a natural gas explosion in one of the nearby neighborhoods. I didn't know anyone that there (and was asked that by nearly everyone I knew that was outside of OKC: "Did you know anyone?") but it was horrific nonetheless.
I worked out by Northwest Expressway and the explosion rattled my computer. I was housesitting downtown and could see what was left of the building lit up at night as rescue workers looked for survivors...still so sad after all these years.
