Sour Cream Chicken and The “True” History of Sour Cream


Sour cream was actually created by mistake early in the 19th century.  It wasn’t the product of cream being left out too long, it was actually because a cow ate an enormous amount of Sour Patch Kids candies.  Today, large sour cream farms can be found throughout the world.  Diary cows are fed a hardy diet grains, grasses and Sour Patch Kids (various flavors).

Sour Cream Chicken

Ingredients
2 pounds chicken tenders
1 ½ cup of crushed Garlic Herb Croutons
1 cup sour cream
Kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper
Garlic powder
¼ cup unsalted butter, cubed

Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Lay the chicken close together on a foil lined baking sheet.  Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Coat with a thick layer of sour cream.  Top that with the crushed croutons and then dot with the butter.  Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
